HOW DOES ALL ABOUT CARING SELECT AND HIRE SUPPORT WORKERS?
We hire and employ Support Workers based on several factors including experience, location, and being a good match to the needs and preferences of the people they will be supporting.
It is important that all staff we hire are reliable and have a genuine interest in working in this industry and providing a high standard of support. Due to the personal nature of this work factors such as age, gender, and cultural background are sometimes relevant to ensuring the worker is a good fit to the needs of the individual receiving support. For example, hiring a worker who speaks the same languages as the person they will be supporting ensures they are able to communicate effectively.
We will discuss with each individual the specific needs and preferences that they have and select appropriate support workers to match these needs. Our team of support workers are as diverse as the individuals we support.
ARE ALL ABOUT CARING SUPPORT WORKERS POLICE CHECKED?
Yes, all our Support Workers must require a NDIS Worker Check (which is equivalent to a Police Check) as well as obtaining the relevant Working with Children clearance check in the state in which they work. This helps ensure the safety of our Clients and any other people present during service delivery. Applicants must also supply 100 points of identification and referees for detailed reference checks prior to commencing work.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T LIKE MY SUPPORT WORKER?
You have the right to reject any Support Worker at any time. You simply need to notify our rostering team in the head office (via phone, text, or email) that you don’t like the Support Worker. We will ask you for details so we can ensure a better fit for you in the next worker assigned.
